ATLANTA - There is no shortage of commentary about Thanksgiving Day. Some want to ignore what it stands for and talk about football, food and such. How about some moments of silence to actually give thanks for the blessings we've received? I'm thinking most will.
Journal entry: July 1, 1989 (age 20)
ATLANTA - November Eleventh rolls around each year and many fingers snap as Americans realize they forgot about Veterans Day. "Well, next year I'll remember." Sadly, many don't know or forgot what sacrifices were made in wars we've fought. Our veterans do. Please thank them.
Studies across the country have shown that having at least 5 meals a week together helps form a strong bond in the family.
